Many people get a German shepherd puppy because they have small children or no children, and a Shepherd soon becomes a member of the family.

A German shepherd will entrust your home, garden, and belongings to his devoted care and will protect them with his life! He needs not only your affection, but also your commitment to his overall well-being. If you meet these basic needs, your Shepherd puppy will be faithful to you for the rest of his life. If you have children, be aware that the puppy can leave ‘presents’ around the house that the baby seems to discover before you do! The potential issue will be resolved through training.
Since puppies, like children, wake up in the night, your own child can become irritable as a result of waking with the puppy. Often, since puppies tend to chew, it’s a safe idea to keep your child’s stuffed animals and toys out of reach.
Consider adopting an adult dog before getting your puppy around. Any innate behavioral issues can not appear until a dog reaches sexual maturity, according to experts. A breeder can only guess what kind of adult a puppy will become, while finding an adult dog you’ll enjoy for the rest of your life is easy. Under no conditions should you purchase a German shepherd puppy from a puppy mill. Puppy mills are breeders or breeding companies with poor environmental, treatment, training, breeding, or other requirements. Puppy mills are often overcrowded and house an excessive number of different breeds of dogs.

A “backyard breeder,” on the other hand, can be an excellent and personal source for finding a German shepherd puppy. If possible, get to know the puppy’s parents in order to predict the puppy’s potential temperament.
Keep in mind that German shepherds are puppies until they are 6 or 7 years old!
